He FINALLY got some sleep!!

So lately my 2 year old has not been a fan of sleeping. He screams at nap time and gets out of his bed OVER AND OVER, and at night he does the same thing. Most nights it takes 2 hours for him to go to sleep which usually involves me or my husband sitting next to his bed until he drifts off and then we have to tiptoe out of his room and hope he doesn't wake up. Needless to say, it has been a NIGHTMARE for the past 2 weeks.

Well this past week, I have not been making him take a nap because I don't feel like fighting everyday for 2 hours. My goal was to make him as TIRED as possible so that he would go to bed at night with no difficulty. It has worked ok, he has fallen asleep on the couch or even in the car with me a couple of times.

Yesterday, he had a FUN PACKED DAY. His cousins were in town, so they all played outside on the slip n slide Then they played with toys inside. Then we went to visit some friends with a little girl our son's age and he played some more. Then last night we had to go to a reception for my husband's cousin and had to take the children (lovely, just lovely). He played and ran, and threw rocks and danced and ate most of their cantaloupe.... Then we came home. Daddy put him in bed and guess what.....

SILENCE!!!!!!!!!

We were shocked! He went to bed! No screaming, getting out of bed, no crying, no "Mommy!? Mommy??!!!?" NOTHING! HE WENT TO SLEEP!!!! AND HE SLEPT UNTIL

10:20 this morning!!!!!!

We did not go to church, we let him SLEEP! and when he woke up, he was so HAPPY! He was smiling and said "Hi daddy!!"

(This is from another morning, but it is the mood he was in)

LET'S SEE HOW TONIGHT GOES!!!!!

You're baby is ABSOLUTELY darling! That hair! Never cut it, okay? Okay, maybe just a trim, but he is gorgeous!
